With the dilapidated state of our country's football, the new Fifa world ranking has confirmed how badly we are fairing, ranking us at 57th in the world and 10th in africa, with a small country like the CAPE VERDE ISLANDS leading NIGERIA(The Giant of Africa), giant indeed!!!. It is a big slap on the image of our country with the much talents we have both home and broad and yet we can't harness them well enough to play some beautiful thrilling football, it seems the glory days are gone.
It is so glaring that we need more than just a messiah to deliver us from this embarrassing phase of our footballing journeying, with the NFF in talks with SUNDAY OLISEH to take over the coaching job of the suppose Super Eagles turned Fantastic chickens, we are watching and waiting to see what he can do, the question remains can he bring all his sweet mouthed analysis off the field to reality? Time will tell... i just so miss the days of JJ okocha in the mid-field dazzling and dribbling with Finidi George and Emmanuel Amunike running down defenders on the wings, Sunday oliseh doing the dirty job of a sweeper behind them and taking the ball from defense and sending to the attacking mid-fielders that will supply hungry strikers(Rasheed Yekeni, Daniel Amochachi e.t.c) of those days that plays passionately for the green white green jersey.
Time shall tell... i still remain a passionate Nigerian and i still believe the glory days can return if we do our home work well.
My Blood remains GREEN!!!PARA RA RA RA RARA RA RA PARA RA RA RA PA RARA RA RA!!!
